E. Guigal 은 1946년 설립된 뒤 세계에서 가장 유명한 와인 평론가 로버트 파커(Rober Parker Jr.)로 부터 100점을 가장 많이 받은 와이너리이다. 직접 오크통까지 만들며 진지하게 와인을 만들어오는 E.Guigal 와이너리는 이제 Rhone Valley의 터줏대감으로 자리잡았으며 "King of Rhone"이라 불리기까지 한다. 

 

[Tasting note]

"마른 허브향 가득한 남부론 와인"

색깔은 중간 루비색으로 짙은편은 아니나 향에서 정향의 오크향과 함께 마른허브들의 아로마가 올라왔다. 그 뒤로 검붉은 체리와, 라즈베리가 약간 마른 느낌으로 다가왔다. 다양한 향을 즐기기에는 좋고, 시간에 따라 변화하는 모습이 개인적으로 이정도의 과실 포텐셜에서는 다양한 레이어를 갖는 것 보다는 과실의 순수한 매력을 조금 더 보여주는 것이 좋을 것 같다. 편하게 마시기 더 좋은 것은 Cote du Rhone Red 인 것 같다.

"Southern Rhone wine full of dry herbs"

The color is medium ruby, not dark, but the aroma of dried herbs came up with cloves and woods. After that, dark red cherries and raspberries comes in a slightly dry feeling. It's good to enjoy various fragrances and layers. But, to me, at this level of fruit potential, it would be better to show the purity of the fruit. I think Cote du Rhone Red is better to drink comfortably.
