Mollydooker는 호주 방언 (Aussie slang)으로 '왼손잡이'를 뜻한다. 라벨의 기세등등한 복서 캐릭터는 북론 시라의 위상을 뛰어넘어 보겠다는 마르퀴즈(Marquis) 부부의 담대한 포부를 담고있다. 

 

[Tasting note]

"잼같고 오크향이 진한 자두맛 콜라"

사실 호주 시라즈에 대한 경험이 많지는 않다. 그러나 이 와인의 향을 맡는 순간 상당히 친숙한 인상을 받는다. 

'콜라향'

Jammy하게 익은 짙은 과실향과 아메리칸 오크의 끈적한 바닐라 풍미가 합쳐저 콜라 그 자체가 되었다. 과실의 과숙한 캐릭터는 개인적 취향에서 벗어나 있지만, 과실농축도 / 오크향 / 산도 / 타닌 / 알콜 / 바디감 등 모든 요소들이 과하게 표현되어 모난 부분 없이 밸런스는 맞아들어가는 모양세이다. 4점대를 유지하는 비비노 점수도 이해가 간다. 

"Jam-like plum cola with strong oak flavor"

In fact, I don't have much experience with Australian Shiraz.  However, the moment you smell this wine, you get a fairly familiar impression.

'Cola Flavor'

The jammy ripened dark fruit flavor and the sticky vanilla flavor of American oak combine to make the Coke itself. The overripe character of the fruit is out of personal taste, but all elements such as fruit concentration / oak flavor / acidity / tannin / alcohol / body are expressed excessively, so the balance is right without any angular parts. The Vivino score, which maintains a 4-point range, is also understandable.
