슈페트브루군더에 대한 첫 경험...

독일 피노누아인 슈페트브루군더에 대한 동경이 있었다. 지나치게 가격이 올라가는 브루고뉴 와인은 선뜻 다가가기 어렵고 그나마 대체제로 떠오르는 구세계 피노누아 재배지가 독일과 알자스가 아닐까 싶다. 그러나 독일 와인 특성상 수출량이 적어 맛볼 기회가 없었다. 드디어 이번 기회에 블라인드 테이스팅 모임에서 만나게 되었다. 첫 인상은 새초롬한 붉은 과일이 베이스가 되고 입에서 부드러운 우아함을 주는 것을 보아 피노누아는 분명했다. 진득한 프렌치 오크 풍미와 살짝 물릴법한 잔당감은 분명 일조량과 열감이 꽤 있는 신대륙을 뜻하는 듯 했다. 결국 콜은 뉴질랜드 피노누아 또는 오레건 피노누아를 했으나 독일 피노누아가 나올줄이야... 잔당감을 남겨 뭔가를 숨기려했거나 아니면 2018년이 너무 더워서 그랬거나... 어쨌든 첫인상은 좋지는 않다. 앞으로 종종  경험해보면서 진짜 모습을 한번 봐야겠다.

My first German Spatsburgunder

There was a longing for the German Pinot Noir, Spatsburgunder. Bourgogne wine, which is too expensive, is difficult to approach, and I think Germany and Alsace are the old world Pinot Noir that are emerging as alternatives. However, due to the nature of German wine, the export volume was small, so there was no opportunity to taste it. Finally, I met at the blind tasting meeting on this occasion. The first impression was clear to Pinot Noir, seeing the bright red fruit as the base and giving the mouth a soft delicacy. The rich flavor of French oak and slight residual sugar definitely seemed to mean a Burgundy like New World with quite a bit of sunshine and heat. Finally I called New Zealand or Oregon Pinot Noir... But I was German Spatsburgunder. They might want to hide something by remaining sugar or the weather in 2018 was too hot. Anyway, my first impression is not that good. I might gonna experience German Spatsburgunder if there is the guys who are doing much better than this.
